The third eye (also known as the inner eye) is a mystical and concept referring to a speculative invisible eye which provides perception beyond ordinary sight

In certain dharmic spiritual traditions such as Hinduism, the third eye refers to the ajna, brow, or the Sixth Chakra

The third eye refers to the gate that leads to inner realms and spaces of higher consciousness

In New Age spirituality, the third eye often symbolises a state of enlightenment

The third eye is often associated with religious visions, clairvoyance, the ability to observe chakras and auras, precognition, and out-of-body experiences

People who are claimed to have the capacity to utilise their third eyes are sometimes known as seers

If this is the sort of thing that appeals to you, this is the ideal Guided Meditation to start you on that path

The female speaker will talk you into a meditative state, encouraging you to relax all the muscles in your body, and to clear your mind of all thoughts

She will talk you into a deep state of meditation, and a ultimate state of relaxation

She will initially help you achieve a feeling of positivity and confidence in your surroundings

Through visualisation techniques, she will talk you through the opening of your third eye

Following that, she will talk you through what you can see through your open third eye and help you hopefully feel warm, comfortable and at one with your tranquil surroundings

More importantly, you will hopefully be able to find your inner peace to enable you to totally let your troubles drift away

Through practicing this meditation, you should be open to new insights, new awareness, easier connections to your spirit guides, answers to questions that you will be encouraged to ask of the Universe and your Spirit Guides

You hopefully feel the energy surrounding you that you are channeling and receiving through your third eye, and you will have access to new knowledge, thoughts and feelings

At the end of the session, you will be guided back out of your meditation, and will hopefully feel content, relaxed and enlightened

The whole session is approximately 45 minutes long, with lengthly pauses in the appropriate places between the speaking for you to think your own thoughts and enjoy your experience

Find a quiet space where you will not be disturbed and get yourself comfortable and relaxed

This session can be used even if you have never tried Guided Meditation before, but obviously, would be equally as effective for those of you who already practice meditation regularly
